Waterjet cutting

By means of water jet cutting, the most diverse contours can be cut under computer control. This machine cuts up to a thickness of 200 mm. All types of metal, plastic, stone, can be cut with it. The method of water jet cutting is based on a simple principle, i.e. filtered water is brought to a pressure of up to 4000 bar by means of a powerful pump and via special stainless steel pipes the water is pressed through a nozzle with a diameter of 0.1 to 0.7 mm. The extremely thin water jet from this nozzle hits the material to be cut at a speed that is more than twice that of sound.
