Bormstaal BV

The company Bormstaal BV was founded in 1986. Alain Borm started from a garage and gradually the company expanded. In recent years a lot has been invested in new machines. The expectation is that the turnover growth will become faster in the coming years.

At Bormstaal, quality and delivery according to agreement are paramount. For the employees of Bormstaal, the customer is king and due to their flexible attitude, urgent orders are always delivered on time. This is also possible because Bormstaal has a large stock of plates and construction profiles in many qualities of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc. We have our own transport.

Strategy Bormstaal specializes in cutting, bending and processing sheet material. Our modern machinery allows us to deliver very good quality at a competitive price. Bormstaal delivers quality and always on time. If necessary, we can deliver very quickly.

In recent years we have implemented improvements in the production process and in automation, inventory management and purchasing management. The aim is to reduce the costs of the end product, so that we can improve our competitive position and always be able to offer the customer competitively.

Quality In order to produce as cheaply as possible, it is a condition that the production process is under control and the product quality is good. We therefore monitor and analyse the production process continuously. This approach leads to the establishment of all kinds of procedures, so that the desired quality is increasingly higher and will also always be achieved.

New construction

The production was divided over two halls that were separate from each other. In the spring of 2008, the two halls were connected to each other. Overhead cranes were installed under the new roof, particularly to improve working conditions. A new production layout was created, which also included the new 12-metre long press brake and the new roller.

Expansion of sales

Because Bormstaal has recently invested a lot in expanding its machine park and in new construction, expansion of production is very well possible. Just across the border in Belgium, many large companies in the (petro)chemical industry, shipping and the automotive industry are located, particularly in the ports of Antwerp and Ghent. In order to expand sales, active efforts are being made to approach potential customers, both in the Netherlands and in Belgium and France.

Increasing brand awareness

In addition to targeted acquisition, developing a marketing strategy to improve Bormstaal’s brand awareness in the rest of Zeeland and in Belgium and France is also of great importance. Building brand awareness is a long-term process. A broad marketing campaign is being developed via magazines and trade fairs, such as the trade fairs in Antwerp or Ghent or the Contacta trade fair in Goes. Bormstaal has already built up a good reputation by delivering good quality on time as agreed. Bormstaal distinguishes itself in particular by being able to deliver orders on time that have to be completed very quickly. Bormstaal has already built up this image, but it is continuously working on strengthening it even further.
