Waterjet cutting machine

Our waterjet cutting machine uses a powerful jet of water mixed with abrasive particles to cut through materials with precision. This is ideal for cutting work involving heat sensitive materials, where precision is essential.

The Mitsubishi cutting machine has a very high production accuracy, resulting in a better cutting quality at a higher variable speed range. The drives and guides are equipped with oversized ball screws brand Bosch Rexroth, as well as double ball screw linear guide systems Rexroth.

Both the cutting head(s) indexable insert and the gantry are driven by Mitsubishi Electric AC brushless servo motors. Combined with a Wittenstein Alpha* planetary gearbox with zero backlash on all axes. The gantry is driven on both sides. All axes and guides are automatically lubricated (low-maintenance machine). The drives and guides are adequately protected by bellows and a second bellows housing against the effects of water and abrasives (double protection). Rapid traverse X and Y axis 0-30m/min.

The carriage plate on which the ITC cutting head is mounted is equipped with a Mitsubishi brushless servo motor with a self-positioning height sensor and collision protection. The height adjustment is 180 mm. The collision protection works independently of the focus tube (abrasive nozzle) so that a collision does not break off a focus tube or abrasive nozzle or damage the Z-axis.
